Client: VolkerStevin  – Flood Defence.

VolkerStevin instructed us on behalf of The Environment Agency to construct approximately 140 meters of flood defence.  The project involves us casting a capping beam over piles to create the flood defence.

Method:

Once the piles are broken down to the desired level we then fit loose rebar.  Timber shutters which have RECKLI formliners attached are then erected with pockets set in the top. Concrete is then poured using a concrete pump, the next day the shutters are stripped.  This process is completed for 12 meters of defence at a time.
